Success Stories 3

May I introduce you to  "Ta-TWO"..............
It took her about 60 seconds to conclude that the new bed was hers...........
She has slept on her bed next to mine for the past 3 nights with nary a peep.
We've been walking in the early am (except for today...she doesn't do rain).
She is a kisser, runs like the wind............ has looked at my fence several times, then looked at me and, I think decided that things are better on this side.
She's a quick study.
I'll keep you posted. Thanks for putting us together.

Alice,

I wanted to drop a picture in the mail to you of King Ralph and his new family.  Please respond with your mailing address.

He and Chanda (our 9 year old female boxer) are doing fine.  Chanda fell into immediate lust for his big boy good looks.  She showed off for him  with all her fancy footwork for the first day non-stop.  However, when he was still there the next morning and she realized he was there to stay she quickly let him know who was boss and continues to do so.

PJ (8 year old son) loves Ralph and plays with him endlessly.  Ralph is the most comical boy.  Always into something outrageous.  Some things not so cute, like the day it looked like snow in the living room-after he extracted every last fluff from a pillow .  He had done pretty well out of the crate until then.  Keeps us on our toes to say the least.

We are slowly teaching him how to share-like giving us back our bed-the second he is let off his pillow in the morning by PJ he bounds into our room and onto our bed-all 81 pounds for his morning snuggles. He is teaching us that every moment can be full of smiles & laughter.

At any rate, thanks for taking such good care of Ralph until he could come into our lives.  He is already a treasured member of our family.

Sincerely,

Lynne, John & PJ Katopodis

Hi Alice,

My husband and I adopted Cammie (renamed Nala) from you at Boxer Rescue about 1 year ago, and we want to extend our sincere thanks for helping us complete our family.  We are so late in giving you an update, but...better late than never!!!  Nala proved to be quite an escape artist from the get go and we quickly summized that she could not be left unattended in the yard for even a moment, which is just fine with us!   She is a quiet girl who has never barked, except when we absolutely beg her to do so.  The instant our yellow  lab and she laid eyes on eachother..........they were in love.  Never even the tiniest of a squabble, despite some  pretty excited rough housing at times.  She is such a snuggle bug, she has become somewhat of a security blanket for my husband.  Thank you sooo much for all you do for these dogs.  You are one in a million Alice!  Enjoy these shots of our happy healthy little girl!

Sincerely,

Gail and Jamie

Hi Alice, this is Randy Tully who rescued Duke last Thursday. He is wonderful and my Ruby loves him. Today I took him to the vet for a check up. He has a rash of some sort and we are shampooing him to help. He also has tags and his Assistant Dog tag is in the mail. We are going to take him to Obedience Club at the Zoo parking lot on Thursday nights. He is such a sweetheart. Ruby is jealous because he is stealing her spotlight. Randy, Ruby and Dukee

Dear Alice,

At long last we have finally found the time to write and thank you. We adopted Sadie aka Brandy last December. We love her! She has made a wonderful new addition to our family, it is as if we have always been together, and we know who rules the house. She is one of the best and most loving dogs we have ever encountered. If anyone reading this is afraid of adopting a rescue dog let us ease your fears by letting you know how successful this adoption has been. We are looking forward to adopting another boxer from you in the future, Alice. Thank you for all of your dedication and perseverance for the well-being and happiness of boxers. Included are pictures of her daily canyon runs.
